Things to Do

pond behind the Inn at Anchorage Farm

arnicaYou needn't like horses to feel welcome at Anchorage Farm.  Tie on your hiking shoes and hit the trails!  Plop down on a bench in a secluded place (like our natural spring) or by the pond and waterfall.  Do some bird watching.  Feed the koi fish.  Delight in our abundant cultivated flower gardens or the multitude of native varieties right out our door!  Kris can identify for you the dozens of native flowers, trees and shrubs on Anchorage property alone.  Check out our Facebook page for photos of our amazing wildflowers!

If on the other hand, you do love horses, you'll love hanging out at Anchorage Farm.  Spend the day with us.  Jim will open your eyes to all the things you never knew about horses.  Observe lessons, horse training, horse shoeing, or just watch the antics of the horses themselves.  If you get the itch to pitch in with horse chores, be our guest!  Help turn out the horses, groom, clean stalls.  Slip into your private jacuzzi at the end of the day.  Talk about "getting away from it all"!
